OK I have had a reply from Primary target and they will need some help setting up the server.

Can someone add feltzpt to xfire and talk him through it. Let me know who is going to do it so I can tell him

Thanks

I'll do it bel.

I need to know the number of slots...
Then I will create the config files to instructions to send him with an initial track selection. When setup we can add tracks remotely.

Thanks

mad used to use xfire but got really sick of it and ditched it years ago. He has however managed to make an acception in this case, blow the dust off his account and recover his password from the lost annuls of time. This latest version looks rather different from the old one but still, its on a need only basis and will we consigned to the heap once more when the deed is done Smile

32 was the config default.... don't tell him but by guesting players we can get many slots Wink

I will try and sort through the track selection over the next few days.

Currently its running rounds mode with united tracks and a2b tracks in random order. Just for fun Smile

OK some Questions

Will it show as a UK or US server
If US will that effect us?
Will there be any latency problems with the Atlanta Server for UK players.

If there is we should get them to move it to a UK server

pro as in professionally hosted Smile

belial there'll be a slight latency but it will not greatly effect gameplay.
If it cuold be moved to England/Europe easily then it's worth enquiring but not crucial

The servers location is set by the account and not the location. For consistancy I set it to Scotland but we could move madlaps if people wanted to any location within TM

Seems ok at the moment although 2 people tonight have been unable to race... Rustray and Andsome. These have been communication problems but I have been unable to narrow it down. They have been able to race other servers without trouble?????

been on for the last hour and its cool that theres classics and forever tracks mixed. i realise that theres no lap recs due to rounds mode, but there's been alot of complaints (belial included) that the split time window only shows the leader going through each checkpoint, and whoever follows before the leader goes through the next. (so tonight for instance it was bboy showing up all the time with me and whoever else within 1 or 2 secs of him behind)

i realise its in the testing phase, but i just thought id point it out

Seeing as it's almost Christmas and DaMadMan has an electricity bill that smashed his floorboards when it hit the mat I think it might be an idea for those of us who use mad laps servers on a regular basis to send him some cash. Then he can keep spare routers in his airing cupboard for those times he needs to replace them Wink

Not naming names all you punters that are on every night for several hours, just send what you can afford, everything helps keep this show on the road. If you can't afford anything just quietly leave and don't come back (kidding) Wink

And for those who think "I'm loaded and never want to donate a penny to help the few who keep this place running so smoothly since nobody will know I don't do anything to help", I have absolutely no problem compiling a list of heavy users who don't contribute anything Laughing #

And remember all Merry Christmas Very Happy
