Or in other words..what do you use to play TM?

I use a cheapy Logitech precision gamepad from Argos, only cost a tenner but it does the job very nicely.

I could have gone for the next one up which was the £20 version which has analogue. I know Dan uses that one but I'm a 'cheapskate' and am perfectly happy with the D-Pad function. I only got it on Monday as well. Having lots of previous experience in playing driving games on my PS2 helped me get used to the joypad VERY quickly..its just like driving on GT!

I find it hard to concentrate on driving when there's background noise. I know a few people drive with music on, Tom for example, but I can't concentrate properly (probably because my stereo shakes the room and makes things fall off shelves), but other things like family talking and general noise annoys me. So to conquer this I use my Sony headphones (also from Argos - £20).

Oh, and I also use view #2 to drive with, which a lot of people find very strange. I guess I must have changed to view #2 on my first ever run on the game and stuck with it. I find view #1 unbearable.

Standard keyboard for me too, although my times are alarmingly slower driving in the day and i always wear these headphones to aid concentration, preferably after midnight.
They look like something a Russian radio operator might wear during WW1 but they really are the mutts nuts.

When I saw the title of this post, I was a bit hesitant to open it. Luckily, only gamepads, no joysticks. Laughing

I'm currently using arrow keys on an underpowered computer (turns out my frame rate of 10 and change is not the ornery wildebeast of power I had hoped), so after I upgrade my graphics card I might switch to a gamepad, but...

Saitek P2500 rumble pad which is now available fro a tenner and is VERY comfortable. Analogue steering and digital acc/brake.

I use some old dell 2.1 speakers and a cheap trust headset mic.

I use the Saitek P480 Rumble pad.

http://www.ciao.co.uk/Saitek_P480_Dual_Analog_Pad_game_pad__6679692

Analogue steering and digital acc/brake. For the sound I`ve hooked my computer to my regular stereo so I have 4 big speakers and I also use an old mic for ventrilo or teamspeak.

compact and bijou, Dan. All I'd need is a copy of Razzle and I'd be right at home Smile

(actual pics of the rat's nest and rig will follow just as soon as I further tart my case up)

Logic 3 analog rumble gamepad.

Logitech headset - i'm on my 3rd one of these - the kids forget to take them off when walking away from the pc. Also a great set for Ventrillo so you can shout at sosteve, Dan The Man, MiddenRat and of course MadManTim etc. Not good though when Virus and pickles are on but i found the mute button!!!

Pc wise i got a Quad Core, 3 gig Ram, 8600 gfx. Gonna get a new gfx card for xmas.

I'm surprised how many people are using a gamepad. I'm still with my good old keyboard... Shocked

LabRat has started a Mad Laps version of http://www.infinitecat.com/ . BTW lab, you must be very tall judging by your chair. ...

I would never photogrpah my desk either, Tred. It is an absolute disgrace. Kim and Aggie would have a field day ...
