it might be a corrupted file, I might try reinstalling the game but i'm not a bear of any great brains
anyone else assist? I wish my attempts to get Gord to sign in were more successful, a bona fide Guru and he's always around _________________

Did it crash once in game, then you cant get back in?
And were you using the $39b - hex code just before it crashed?
You can save the cache, dont see the point myself because it will all just download again, you can also save any tracks, skins, profiles etc...they will mainly be .gbx files. |

Gord does all of his guru stuff in the chat box on TMN and on the main TM-Forum under the name Gording. _________________

Apart from my ISP-related problems, I have quite often had a similar problem to you. It seems to be taking ages just to launch, and it sticks on the black screen for perhaps two minutes before it starts. How long have you waited? I don't know if something is downloading at this stage, but if there is slowness in the server, that could explain stuff. On Tuesday I couldn't connect due to "bad proxy configuration". I think the whole thing is having a rough patch.
And steve, I have crashed the game a few times after using hex code in chat ... most annoying! No reinstall, though. |

it used to load up in about 10-20 secs, never had any trouble before...
getting fed up of trawling through all the various forums for an answer.
And have email Gord the guru.... |

I had the same problem, took the game off and reinstalled it seemed to do the trick but there were also problems with the ladder site which may have caused the waiting for 3-4 mins for the leaderboard to appear. _________________

If it's not your virus software it's your firewall, if it's not your firewall, it's the latest windows update, if it's not your windows update then maybe it's your ISP, If your ISP is ok then blame nadeo.... the list is nearly endless of things that stop machines and it keeps getting longer.
Glad your sorted again. |
