If there is an intrest i would be willing to organise this.

unfortunbatly, i dont mean meet up at dutchys local pool hall Razz

instead im referring to use one of the following, (im open to suggestionsif anyone has ny different games where snooker/pool is playable.

screenshots/videos and links below.

the funky seris - a browser based game.
www.funkysnooker.com
www.funkypool.com

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZlHXb42T2c

or
8ballclub - client.
http://www.8ballclub.com/

http://www.8ballclub.com/images/screenshots/L_1.jpg

format i guess could be a league
or knockout depending on intrest
or mixture of both

best of 3 frames?

if the PC at work will run these games then I'd be up for fun after midnight, especially if there's a 9-Ball game option Smile

im having laggy-ish issues with funky seris for some reason.... browsing there forums seems like a number of issues >_< i can play with this laggy stuff, just isnt ideal

the other one, although it looks amazing, i believe is rather low spec, and its only about a 14 mb download.

The downloadable client is much better than the browser and very small.

It should be done on some adhoc basis with tables and results posted in a special section of the forum. IE you have to arrange the matches between yourselves for suitable times.

I need some practice before we start the rounds because its a long time since I played any computer pool Smile

Well I enjoyed the downloadable client one, but you are seriously going to need to get any practice before you pot more than four balls on the trot. This may put people off, whereas the browser one is bascially pick up and play. Depends, I prefer the realism, so would say client.

whats the difference between 8 ball and 9 ball?

bit disappointed theres not a power bar for shots..the shove the mouse thing seems like realism for realisms sake without being realistic if you see what i mean..and foul shot if the ball doesnt hit a cushion? hmm

8 ball =

normal pool, the pool that everyone knows

break, hit anything
pot solid, you have to pot solids till none are left, then pot the black for the win.

9 ball
you have to hit a target ball first (yellow at first) if that goes in i believe iys blue ball. though if you hit the target ball first and pot the 9 ball, you win the game. Very Happy

I'd prefer pool, but only because a game wouldn't last quite as long ... I used to play Yahoo Pool but this is much better. I'll take any of ya on! Pass the chalk. Matron.

acually, i think i should of said this at the start. Whoops.

But if your intrested leave people, a way to contact you.
email/msn/xfire
also going to need your 8ballclub usernames

that way it should be quicker and easier to get in touch.

think we'll do a 8 ball pool league using the client.

only question left now is how many times should we play each other

best of 3 frames? and 2 matches or just 1 match?

oh and when you report the match post the frame scores

eg. Jawzy 2 - 0 Dutchy.

----------------------------------------------------
for the meanwhile I will edit the first post with the contact details of each intrested party.
