I'm thinking of having a little fun and setting up a prediction league for us, based on the English Premier League. Very simple rules I'll give you a list of fixtures for the coming weekend(s) and then you copy them and post a reply with what you think the results will be.

E.g Fixture Sat 12th Arsenal v Birmingham

I predict Arsenal 2 - 0 Birmingham
Middenrat predicts Arsenal 3 - 1 Birmingham
Dodgy predicts Arsenal 0 - 1 Birmingham

Now if the actual score was Arsenal 3 - 1 Birmingham then Middenrat would get 3 points for predicting the exact score, I would get 1 point for predicting the winner and Dodgy would get none.

The points accumulate and the winner gets respect Razz What does everyone think?

This is like a thing i used to do ages ago with my pocket money. My mum got a sheet from somewhere and i would pay £1 a week to enter, and if i got the score or result correct, i'd get some money back, then i wouldn't have to waste my pocket money for the next few weeks because i'd have enough. But then i went ages without winning anything and got bored and stopped doing it, probably because i lost to much money.

Back then i was probably about 7, and i was addicted to gambling Laughing Laughing

I've always struggled with these, probably because I let my imagination get the better of common sense. Heres my predictions, along with how I imagine the game will go Wink

Saturday 12th January
Arsenal v Birmingham 2-1 (with Arsenal down to 10 men and the Birmingham goal being a hefty deflection)
Aston Villa v Reading 4-2 (Goals from Barry and Agbonlahor will steady the ship after Reading take an early lead through Kitson)
Derby v Wigan 2-2 (leaky defences all round, with wasteful attacks to boot)
Everton v Man City 2-1 (Everton on top throughout, Cahill and Yakubu getting the goals. Dunne gets a late consolation for Man City from a corner)
Man Utd v Newcastle 3-1 (Ronaldo, Tevez and Giggs with the goals, after Newcastle make a strong start with a goal from Martins)
Middlesbrough v Liverpool 0-2 (Middlesborough miss a golden opportunity to score first, and Torres scores from the counterattack. The win is sealed when Gerrard scores from distance)
West Ham v Fulham 4-0 (West Ham run riot after Fulham have a man sent off in the 1st half)

Sunday 13th January
Bolton v Blackburn 0-0 (Nothing to see here, only 6 chances in the game, and they're all from the edge of the box)
Sunderland v Portsmouth 3-2 (Sunderland continue their mini revival with a good result against a now struggling Portsmouth. Sunderland end badly though, giving away 2 goals in the last 10 mins)

Monday 14th January
Chelsea v Tottenham 4-3 (Chelseas defence again look liek a bunch of individuals, yet are still outshone by the inept Tottenham defence. Both sides score an own goal and a rash tackle sparks off a mass brawl, which for some reason only sees yellows being dished out)

Arsenal v Birmingham 2:1
Aston Villa v Reading 1:2
Derby v Wigan 1:1
Everton v Man City 3:1

Middlesbrough v Liverpool 1:2
West Ham v Fulham 0:1

Sunday 13th January
Bolton v Blackburn 1:0
Sunderland v Portsmouth 2:1

Monday 14th January

I cannot offer a prediction as detailed as Tred's one but scores should be fine..
