http://www.three-sisters.co.uk/

was just wondering if one day anyone would like to meet up for a day

its up to you were but it was mentioned tonight on server and i thought of a day at karting

see what you guys think

i go here alot so i can say its pretty good but very hair raising

i know alot of members are young so ask your mom for permission first

the forum im a member of also did a meet from all over europe and was very successful and its good to meet the people you spent so much time with

i would suggest next summer really but these things take time to organise anyway so now aint a bad time to start planning if any1 is intrested

let me know what you guys n gals think

it dont need to be at this location anywhere as i myself is willing to travel

could do with a full day so we can go karting then on to the pubs then B&B and then travel home next day

if any ppl are intrested lets get the ball rolling

cheers panza

Sounds good. Unfortunately I suspect the immediate response from parents will be this:

"Hmm".

I may be able to drive by next Summer however, so perhaps it wouldn't be quite such a problem.

I'd probably be able to come... dunno how easy it would be to get to though because i can't actually drive Razz

(I've never been karting before either so i'd probably be in the barrier (or hospital Wink ) on the first lap).

No offence but if i was going to go to the trouble of travelling and expense of karting,id go with friends i already know, not internet strangers.

Now,if you were to suggest a back garden in the summer, that wasnt a million miles away, with a few cold beers and a few smokes,a bit of background music and the prospect of a conversation,i'd be interested.

I didn't mean that to sound aloof btw..

I've thrown a party for 'internet strangers' before (Worms Armageddon mates)
One flew from Germany,1 from Holland,1 from Ireland and the rest from all over the uk ..about 16 in all and it was a great success.
Ive stayed with a worming buddy in Brighton for the Fatboy Slim beach gig.Ive been to Huddersfield and Leeds for a night on the town with some others.I've been to Amsterdam for a smoking sesh with a guy from Holland.Im even going to Chicago next year to stay with some long standing worming buddies.

These were all people i'd talked to a lot for years though. It was (still is) a game where you could talk almost constantly while playing, unlike Trackmania where you can only get the odd line out inbetween races and im a little sceptical that you get that community atmosphere with this game.Having this messageboard helps though!

Im just trying to say that going to the effort, expense and travel so you can put a helmet on and sit on your own in a kart for 2 hours then clearing off home again isnt really getting to know anyone which is the point of the excersise,no? You may as well stay at home and play Trackmania!

Having said all that, good on you Panza for trying to get the ball rolling and if something comes of it then well done Very Happy

you're all correct Very Happy
Just meeting up to go on the lash would be dull, some are too young to legally participate as well. On the other hand a karting session would be expensive and lacking in social lubricant.
A good compromise SNAFU clan discovered at our 1st meet was Bowling, all ages can get stuck in AND there's a bar. A local Travelodge or similar is a good place for the far-flung to stay on the (weekend rate) cheap.
I'd be up for it Smile

slowth you can talk as much as you like on trackmania... it's called vent Smile

WHICH PEOPLE SHOULD USE MORE OFTEN BY THE WAY Smile

It's the only reason I'm still involved in the server stuff, without the mic I would have jacked it all in long ago.

VENT IS FOR ALL WEEK AND NOT JUST FOR GP's :O
