lol, that 2h40 was fun Killed my hands though I managed 200 laps, the winner managed 214 or something like that I was 3rd This was back in June of course, so I'm about ready for another monster like it
Oh, and the full results and post race interviews etc can be found here
Oh yeah, the reason why I was talking about this Well in that there were pitstops, I think it was 3 pitstops in the 160 mins. The pitstops were about 1 min long each, which gave us a (brief) chance to rest our hands. Oh, and be aware that the dropout rate from races this long is VERY high, that race started with like 40 people on the server |

Oh not the pit stops here too... Those get annoying and repetitive after a while ... and yes they were mandatory... |

lol bboy, he's just asking about the Le Mans race that MPS hosted Yes they were mandatory, and they were done in pretty much the same way that the RFR pitstops are done. If you're doing a long race (anything more than an hour for certain), then I'd say stick a pitstop in it, as it gives people a chance to rest (albeit briefly ). |

Retoon, you've probably never been too the RFR server? Most of their tracks have mandatory pitstops.. there's this fuel running and if you don't pitstop then .. I dunno .. I think it gets all black and you can't race |

That happens to me all the time. Your driving round, then Tred's fuel counter thing tells you your about to run out of fuel, and then it slowly goes black so you cant race
So i kind of gave up with those and just keep racing 'til i died but at least i would be in the lead for a little bit while everyone else was stopping
Some of the cameras on the RFR server make it interesting to race with custom models aswell |

Its an instersting idea and we could do a championship finale or special race to cover something of this type.
double points, extra long, pit stops are not a bad idea either for having a break mid race. It would be murder to race an hour without it.
Other ideas for specials...... short sprint surprise race. no preview or practice just race and survive. not sure how extreme the track would be but could be fun. |

If there is no practice, it can'e be too extreme surely, otherwise none of us would finish? _________________

Well, put checkpoints as close together as possible and see who gets furtherst .
For pitstops, they are fine with me as long as they aren't too bloody hard to get right and not every three laps or so .
One every 15 minutes maximum I think, but would be interesting to see how one every 30 minutes would work. |

surely it was a nice race...but in my opinion the last hour was unnecessary...only hand-destroying (at least for all others ) and no more change of the result.
therefore we're planing for the 1000km (100laps) of spa =)
as you can see here
the stops were every 35 minutes, exactly one minute each. of course you could drive with black screen...but with a length of 215 laps this should be no great thing... |
