If you register within a day or so, you will be put in the middle, and you will be constantly attacked. On the .com server, i once had 14 attacks in an hour so i didnt last long Embarassed

Also, dont start in the north, because thats where all the bigger players go.

Im up for a MAD alliance, start south east. Wink

Which server are you guys talking about? I was considering starting on the .com server which restarts on the 11th, but if you guys are going to be on another server I might join you there instead Wink

The uk speed server. Should start sometime on the weekend or early next week. Or thats what everyone is saying....

What does the NPC merchant do?? And how do i use it if its useful?

i think its costs 2 gold and you can say give 1k wheat for 1k clay, 1:1

OK I finally started. I prefer the slow servers too. Lets you dib in and out. Haven't a clue what I'm doing though ... Is it better to upgrade one clay/wood/iron thing or to keep building new ones?

Bunsen, i've found it better to keep them all roughly the same level.

Virus, if you start in NW on the first day, i bet you will get attacked soooo much in the first week, that is unless you can get a little army up and running first.

Thx steve. I have really screwed it up though. I built buildings at the start when I should have been getting resources. Clay runs out particularly fast! I'll know for next time.

Be careful, (this is what i did) when you ran out of a resource, you naturally build it up because your using more of it and neglect the others, then after a day or so, you've got lots of the one resource, and you've run out of the others which is even less helpful than just being low on one resource.

Also, just curious, what tribe is everyone going to restart as??

What I've found with my newly created villages is that if I build everything up to 5, then build one of each up to 10 and get the %increasing buildings it seems to work pretty well. Of course, this is with other villages to send extra resources to top it up Wink

Oh, and I'll be sticking with Gauls, as they suit my style (even though the Romans sounds tempting).

i think am going to go with romans. i have tried guals and i like them but building is slow. also am use to the romans troops and building style.n when i found a new village i upgrade resources while only upgrading my main build along with warehouse and crannary.
