Tred's into his last session now, we're still in 16th overall and BEEP, Sabre's team, only eighteen CPs behind _________________

Storming Effort Tred just to make it to the end so don't get down on yourself. Wp and anyway you could have been in Minardi they have only managed 2 laps so far
Beep have past us but we stayed 16th because we jumped someone else and with 2 hrs to go there's plenty of time to pass beep again.

Oh I know mate, I finally managed to finish the 13th lap in a stint on my final stint, so I'm well happy I think 9 of my laps were within 3 seconds of my best laptime, so there was nowt wrong with my consistency _________________

so after all's said and done we're 17th, great job guys!
not sure if it was just me, but when you're driving those segments hardly feel like an hour... they seemed to be like 15-20 minutes long.
anyways, thanks to mid, tred, and reh for taking part in the race with me, and thanks to everyone who hopped in vent throughout the race and kept us entertained!
hopefully we can take another shot at this race next year. |

when i said "we are gonna be top15" it was more a joke...
the race started horrible for me, when i tried to join the race server it was full, so i had to try it later and i lost about one minute so. the first laps were terrible too, a respawn or two, many crashes, ... even though i had a few laps before my first stint by saving a replay from the spec server and playing against it in the editor. that was crap though, because even the replay was so laggy and full with about 80 car replays so playing it was...well, laggy.
in the end i needed much time to learn the track. thats why i finished 35th in the first stint. my second stint was better, but not good. didnt know the track well enough, hadnt found my line, getting tired every now and then. though the best of my evening stints.
third one was...sleepy. simply couldnt focus. after the race i think it was best taking the stints in one package with one stint of another driver in between of them. as bboy said, driving (and waiting) one hour was like 20 minutes.
when i woke up after 3 1/2 hours of sleep i was ...inconfident, but in the end i think i did well, as in the other stints in the morning. though my feeling was good, had a pb of 4:02.68 in my last stint and most of the laptimes werent more than 3 seconds slower as my pb to that time.
well, without getting too emotional it was great to race with you guys. i know you nearly from the start of my TM career (exspecially bboy and tred, met mid later) and we had good and bad times together. this race was a good time
also thanks to all supporters, exspecially Moldo, Baino and Mark.
i really enjoyed it. special thanks to bboy for getting this one rolling...
BTW
next 24h race is in winter. |

Yeah I forgot to say that earlier - thank you to everyone who was on vent or keeping tabs on us either on the relay servers, on whatever that webcast thingy was, and on here, it really helps _________________

@ Reh, that's a good write-up m8 (goes to explain your slightly below-par results, though we could all have done better) and thanks for the nice words, they sum up my feelings too. I realise we at MAD Laps could assemble a 24hr team to beat the world but the make-up of this team better reflects the old MAD spirit imo
I'm all for a winter revival, I hope we'll field more teams as well _________________

Congratulations boys. I agree with Mid, Mad laps could have fielded a team of rapid all stars but thats not we are all about here we are little like Top Gear, grandiose targets which we fall considerably short of but have a good time while we do it.
I did pop into vent for a while on Saturday night but Tred was concentrating so didn't want to disturb him, well not anymore than usual.
Roll on winter and hopefully we can get another team out there. _________________

would like to see the likes of Bboy, swatty, moldo and sabre as one team. just to see if they could bring home the gold
Agree though we have enough regs to field quite a few teams, might have to be better prepared next time
and i was going to jump on vent and just give people a running commentry of what was happening, but then the crash factor came into play, kept thinking when i join, and they crash or spin off it was my fault
so didn't bother |

lol, that wouldn't have been a problem mate, I actually found it easier when people were talking than when it was just me in there on sunday morning. And (for me at least) crashes tended to come in groups, as one crash and I lost my rhythm, so I crashed again, and then I was cross with myself so I crashed again _________________
