Mad GP Racing

While i was racing the gp today i was think that it would be good to have a full season of racing if you know what i mean.

This is the idea:
The person/people that are running it would select so many tracks (like 12). the first 20 people to sign up to the racing league would be the only ones that get to race the track and we keep a league table to record the points.

Run it apart from the weekend gp but try and make it a time when people can attend.

Let me know what you think of the idea and please give your suggestions.

I know your still working on doing it automatically with php, I don't mind doing it manually though, here's what I got so far. I dont have results of the gp's before this, cause I simply didn't know about any of this all Razz

Can't believe I'm on top, probably because I just try to finish every GP, right Steve? Razz

careful with the screenies, the leader board doesn't always display in order - check the times (hence retoon imagining he took my 6th place in yesterday's second race Exclamation

Yea for example on JawZ's screenshot of the second race, I'm above you Midden, but I know that I ended 8th.
Though I think it only does that with the people that end 6th or lower, because in the game you only get 1 point from that position on, so it wouldn't really matter there.
I'm counting formula1 style though, so 8th position on is 1 point.
Ah, too confusing, don't worry, I'll get it right Smile

To Tred - thanks for telling - didn't know that. Some screenshots I have are past the point where it shows times, so I can't check if those are correct. Although according to my memory they are correct Razz

But I'll pay attention to that.
To Steve and Mid - I guess I agree on the one with the most wins is on top. But if two players have equal amount of wins (like Midden and Mad) then I can order it by consistency.
(And if they are equally consistent, it'll be like now - meaning the one is on top who got that amount of points before the other - like Bat, Cheese, Shadowfax)

can we pair up with someone if its a closed championship thus making a lil fun constructers championship on the side.
problem with closed is some may not make certain events?

Like the idea for a constructers championship ... but perhaps a nations chamionship in the same way which superbikes is done with the best result counting (spliting up GBR if it become a run-away leader)
