lol DaMadman started without pre-publicity so he could remember what it 's like to hold a server record 
kidding boss  ... we got up to 15 players on the first night which cant be bad and it is very competitive stuff with some Rounds specialists turning up for a sniff around plus all the usual suspects
Scoring limit is 23 at present and while i hear some calls for adjustment upwards (hi Moldo) we ought to let it bed in for a while. I don't see too many 3-round matches so far.
Don't forget the Laps server guys: i've thunk of a gimmick to keep numbers up which i'll be putting to DMM after i've taken my kneecapping for paragraph one

lol, no pre publicity but its pretty obvious when its all hush hush, then mad and midden slip out of the laps server trying not to be noticed too much. I figured it out pretty quickly, but the server doing really well atm. Some (mentioning no names) causing arguments and annoying even me a little. And no, its not virus Theres still a few multilap tracks that are too long for laps but 3 laps of the shorter tracks is good. Cant see any obvious problems, thanks Mad   |

| there is 1 problem. i turned on trackmania nations and on recommended servers oh look Mad Rounds 15 players . then SHOCK HORROR Mad Laps 0 players....but like steve said , some one annoyed some people thus mad laps got some poepl back |

It's looking good. When I turned there were 0 players, but I stayed there! Soon, accretion occurred and within 20 mins there were 12 of us. Someone has to be the first there ....
I'm sure the 3-lap ones are there by accident, although one of them (can't remember which) is short enough to actually work. There were some pleasant surprises on some familiar old tracks and I'm sure it will be good fun. Quite a few of the tracks are harder than what you'd see on laps, which is just right imho.
23 points isn't too bad - it's normally around 32-35 but most of the tracks I've seen on mad laps rounds (an oxymoron, surely?) are around the 1 minute mark whereas most rounds tracks are in the 35-45 sec region, so perhaps a slightly lower point limit is apt here.
BTW Mad, I have quite a few rounds tracks, some you'll already know, other's you wont, but they have been played on other servers. One of them even has positive karma. If you're after some new 'uns, just ask. |

Quite right, though I still prefer a higher point limit. Don't have any good reasons for that, other than Putsku that wants it as well 
And about the 'Some (mentioning no names) causing arguments and annoying even me a little' part. I'm sure that's about the incident between me and Edster. I'll go back to ignoring him. |

i like the multilap ones, the "crazy" time attack style ones do my head in though...

I'm with dodgy, I like the rounds but laps is still no. 1 at present.
Edster really annoys me too, by the way. "Who is Edster? I am Rat de Midden." Yeah, people really fell for that.

I didnt annouce it because I wasn't sure it would work right and then I'd have to shut it down again.
The track selection needs sorting to but I've been out all week.
I was hoping my tracks were all validated for a single lap.... but I was wrong. It happens.
By the end of the week we'll have it all sorted... I hope.

Moldo, dont worry, there was only one common factor that was annoying everyone, Edster, not you.
Hopefully, more people will regularly go on the rounds server it will be as popular as laps |

I find it too bad that I have to go the Rounds server to get in on all the fun now, the laps server is empty or just filled with low-ranked people that don't talk. I mean, I don't mind Rounds, but I still enjoy the laps now and then |

| We have lots of people for both servers and it will settle down in a few days. Edster can be annoying but don't wind him up guys......... he's not generally offensive he's just trying too hard. |
