Due to the rail crash this morning Mad Laps services are running at half strength. I'm awaiting news and developments at the moment to see how it pans out and when full service will be restored. All I can say is the flames were darn impressive and things are a bit manic round here at the moment . Catch you later.... |

Rail Crash and Server Problems - it's normally vice versa innit? Stay inside, get under the table and hold your breath. We're thinking about you.

main event over the place is swarming with response vehicles but amazingly no-one was injured. Train derailed and the bridge collapsed. Nice. Thank God the goods train was the one that went and not the passenger trains due 20 minutes later... |

Those first few seconds of footage don't half remind me of the start of Father Ted. |

lol Father Ted... spot on very funny. I can't see Doogle waving in the smoke but my brother is there somewhere.. he's a fireman. The bridge was due to be replaced in the next week or so.... and workmen had been working overnight.... I'm sure an investigation will tell us the cause. There is a strange smell of kerosene in the air and they have floodlit the area so that they can recover the spill and protect the river. lots of video available from the various news teams. |

Impressive smoke, was watching a video on the BBc website at college earlier.
Got to love Father Ted, especially the Christmas special. _________________

The police have traced the cause to a extremely stale muffin being bought at a local coffee shop, the person who bought it was walking near the rail tracks, took one bite, broke a tooth so he chucked it and it landed on the tracks forcing the wheels off the rails.
Wouldn't like to be that muffin salesman. _________________

look, the muffin was only 3 months out of date and the maggots in it only hatched yesterday! The rumour in the town is that it slipped on a big bogey that he discarded after eating the muffin... |

Apparently Greggs have been quick to distance themselves from this incident, do you know any other coffee shops in the area?. _________________
