Jawz is right, I think that's real 1/8th rallycross racing. Tight track that one, but they don't half go!

I'll stick to electric power though, nitro's a bit messy and expensive. Looking forward to some warmer weather so I can thrash my new E-Savage on dry ground outside instead of in a village hall...

I know bugger all about nitro but I recall reading a review where the tester said the engine was stalling shortly after startup because the fuel was "too rich" at the time.

http://www.articlesbase.com/collecting-articles/tuning-a-rc-nitro-engine-for-optimal-power-a-guide-for-beginners-534866.html

a lot of smoke = too rich
nitro is a pain to keep running at first but once set up properly will run great. a good idea is to set your brakes up before the engine and if your only running front brakes set it so they don't lock-up too easy

those e-savages jump good eh cheese?

You've got that right Evil, I took mine up to the village hall where we race every fortnight or so for its first thrash and we set up a ramp using a folding table and other stuff. Pretty much every landing was nice and flat (apart from the ones where I didn't line up properly Embarassed ). It looks like it'll take plenty of abuse, and it's so quick I couldn't get it to top speed indoors! Some dirt bonz or nubz tyres would be a possible answer to this and the way it went from oversteer to understeer in long corners, as the standard baja tyres aren't grippy enough on a polished floor. Money well spent though Very Happy.

my e-zilla used to whup Good Homer and his son Dales RC10 B4's and that was with 2x 2000MAH batteries to Good Homers 4100MAH. mine could of done with stiffer springs front and back but too much and it'd flip not grip, stiil was loads of fun though Very Happy
