Another 2 second places for me
Landslide
Somehow went too wide on the first corner of the first lap which put me on the back foot. Eventually got 3rd and swat and grend both respawned giving me an 8 sec lead. Went into a bit of a trance and missed the start finish line tarmac completely leading to a respawn, putting me 14 secs behind grend. Clawed back to 8 secs but clipped the inside sharp bit of a corner which put me back down again. Finish 2nd

Amazing race, first few laps was neck and neck between myself grend and bboy. bboy got invalid which left us two, we were within a second or two of eachother for an entire 20 laps, untill i managed to pass and get 1st untill a crash which put me 3 secs down, got 2nd again
great races tonight guys, especially grendel (and well played for the wins mate)
just a small shoutout to steve, just like to say thanks for selling the team out because he didnt like the tracks. nice one mate 
EDIT nice one dan mate you even went through 40 checkpoints more than us! |

1st race was 17th although I was cruising in 16th with one corner to go when the missus threw the phone at me because it was her mum and she didn't want to speak to her. So Mid you can thank me later for the gift.
2nd race 16th went past Jonny with two to go was cruising when I pushed down on my analogue stick (don't ask why I did it because I don't know) and then that damn popup menu appeared and I battered a chicane.
One request for a GP track can someone take sweeping gp6 and mix it with smokin fast?????

Race 1... blisteringly fast on that one.....getting low 45's every lap.
but i had a few horrific crashes, and the track is so big, it takes ages to get up your speed.
Race 2....same story as first race, very fast racing, yet lots of crashes had a great battle with retoon towards the end, great fun.
all in all, going as fast as i could didnt really work out lol
but I would do the same all over again for those lap times

Tough tracks.
Race 1: Pressed hard from the start, I think I only respawned once in the whole race but perhaps I tried a bit too hard. I was drifting on a lot of the banked left-handers (not so much on the right-handers ), obviously not the quickest way, and found as usual half way through that there was a quicker way. I started easing off earlier to keep the car more in line and that was a bit more successful. Close racing came from Dan, Beechy etc. and I didn't mind coming behind them as I was completely outpaced. I spent some time leading my team in the standing for once and was slightly annoyed although not suprised to see Jonny go through on the very last lap.
Race 2: Chaos. I don't think I spent much time with less than three other cars on screen. The track was tight with no margin for error, so it was a good job I only had one scruffy lap. I got to 6th from the start, fell back down the field and then came back to 9th for my first top 10 this season. Pleased with that. Again nice driving Dan and Beechy.
Great racing as usual all.

I always use the bleeding eye avatar so I'm easy to identify. 
Race 1: Think I hit the wall at the end of the first or second lap. Racing with Reh for a few laps. HotSwat crashed and me and Reh got past him. I started to pull away then Reh must've crashed. Stevie into 2nd where he was roughly 3-4s behind for a few laps. I flipped the car and fell down to 3rd behind Stevie and Minim. Got past Minim after he hit the wall (I think) then was behind Stevie by 9s. Couldn't gain any time on him for a few laps then I managed 4 laps in where I caught Stevie by 6s then he missed a checkpoint. Had a scary moment where I almost flipped the car on lap 21 but thats about it until the end.
Race 2: Bboy, Stevie and me together for 10 laps. Then Bboy gets invalid time, me and Stevie stay together for the next 10 laps as well being within 1s of each other until Stevie had some crash near lap 21-22 which let me finish 2-3s ahead.
I thought Landslide was great but the drift into the "hairpin" and the drift up the hill after the drop down/bump hazard really decides the lap time you're gonna get. Even though the track is sparse, the speed you are going at keeps you awake.
The 2nd track was pretty fun considering I generally hate tech tracks. Very challenging and doesn't punish you too severely for taking the wrong line like most tech does.
All in all, great racing as usual. |
