Greetings guys.

I've a idea to submit. I've talk about it with Mad and Middenrat and they seem to enjoy it quite enough.
Tomorrow after the solo event, we're gonna make a raid on a lap server (i'll tell which one later, but the choice is yet done. It's better to keep it secret as long as possible, but from the Middenrat opinion, it's an obvious target. Wink

)

Important note : I've seen drivers with [] (when they talk, it looks like [ [] ] ) as nickname, so it's not totally invisible for other players.
For a real invisible nickname, it's really easy. There's infinity possibilities, but to be short, just copy/paste this one as nickname : $000 ( $m$a$d also work)
Here are the details :

An invisible car (+/- 500 kb) put the zip file as it is in My Documents/Trackmania/Skins/Vehicles/CarCommon (if this folder doesn't exist, create it and put the zip file in it)
@Midd' => i didn't find what you suggested for the horn, so i put the Barneys belch...

An Invisible avatar is also required, you can find it HERE put it in My Documents/Trackmania/Skins/Avatars (if this folder doesn't exist, create it and put the dds file in it)

Pushing the detail forward, you'll also get an invisible nickname, look, this is the easiest part. you only have to write something like $m$a$d as your nickname and nothing else. Wink

Note : would be nice to keep silence, i mean no talk, even if they talk to you. The horn is a nice belch, use it as much as you want.

Would be so nice if we could reach the whole top 16. Then the score table would be totally empty, as wel as the final position showroom with podium and so on.

That was quite fun to catch a complete podium finally.

We'll try to find a funnier server for next time, i must agree with those who were bored before the end (there was an end ?).
The most important was to show at least once, thanks to all of you Wink

Loading time sucks on RFR, was starting in 42 every race, plus the BURP horn was making me feel sick ( did throw up in my throat once)

But that's true, they should reduce the number of laps and begin with a warm up to help late starter to race on their 150000unit made tracks...

Wow, interesting read in this thread....

Lets see, so when I join the server I notice a load of people with no names, first thought - aseco going funny. I realise there are a hell of alot though, so check the usernames, and realise it's you lot on a raid, fair enough. While checking this, I realise that among you there were a few players who have been banned from the [RFR] server. So, being the nice, easy going person that I am, I make it clear that I can tell who individuals are, by saying things in the chat to individuals, commenting on their race etc. I also ask you what cars you're using, as they weren't loading for me (you all had default cars for me). I also ask inform you very politely that I expected you all to behave.

And what do I get in return? I get lots of replays full of people drifting/powersliding, which, as you are all well aware, is forbidden on the [RFR] server. I had hoped that you would show the same respect to myself, and the rules on the [RFR] server, that I had shown you in allowing you to have your fun, and not rebanning those who are already banned.

But to top it all off, I then come here and find that the whole idea behind this raid was to break the rules on the [RFR] server.

This has extremely dissapointed me. I'm all up for fun, but to set out with the intention of breaking the server rules is low.

Whether you agree with the rules or not is completely irrelevant, the plain and simple fact of it is that we have these rules on our server, and we ask that everyone who races on our server RESPECTS the rules. We do not make exceptions for this, and we have been known to ban members of [RFR] who have broken the rules (and kick them off the team of course).

To make things worse (assuming I'm reading peppers original post right), it would appear as if the whole idea of this raid was sanctioned by mad and midd, who I previously had alot of respect for. This saddens me, as you've always seemed to know when too much is too much, but in this case, evidently not.

Anyway, after reviewing some of the replays I made (and comparing them to notes I made of who finished in what positions), the following bans are being made:

Bboy (rebanning - fool on me for giving you a chance tonight)
Pepper (rebanning - fool on me for giving you a chance tonight)
Steve

There were a few others who broke the rules, but in my own naivety (and misplaced trust) I did not make notes on those who were further back in the races. You can consider yourselves given a slap on the wrist.

As a final suggestion, I suggest you take a good long look at the welcome to the forums thread, particularly number 3, as it would appear that certain people decided to use this raid to continue their "beef".
