I'm wondering what some peoples opinions are on a world wide battle. I have a PS3 and say it could eat X-Box 360 for breakfast but then the other people will say Xbox has better graphics even though I think PS3's are way better (or am I just crazy  ). I know the online is better on X-box but I dont feel the need to pay to play online. they also say X-box has more and better games but I think thats just because it's been out for longer. Any opinions on the subject?

Have none of them so I would go for the 'they all suck and PC rules' option, but Wii looks pretty cool to me, even though I never tried it

i've had a 360, wii and now have a ps3 (which is on ebay at the minute)
i think ps3 has slightly better graphics than 360 but the time it takes to install a game on ps3 is stupid, i got gta4, installed the game, then went online only to have to update it, it took around 15 minutes all in all.
then put gran turismo 5, prologue in, only to have to do the same.
on the plus side for ps3, it does come with a wireless pad WITH batteries in it and a usb charger, but with 360 you get a headset.
also, 360 games are easy to get hold of cheap, my 360 was even xtreme so thats a big + for me
i've also had a wii but they get boring after a while, and i even had 45 games for that |

| i went for ps3, mainly because i just hate people going on about how the 360 is better, it's obvious that the ps3's graphics are better and i do not see how the online play of a console is better, it's all about the online of a game isn't it? |

ive had both now an ps3 wins hands down
yeah theres more games n stuff for xbox but why pay for going online when you already pay for your internet in the first place
i agree ps3 updates any me aswell but its still being progressed
ps3 for me then |

nuff said.
THOUGH....
I really hate the controlling and dominating force of sony and the market protection that these consoles have......
I reckon there is room for some online game interaction of consoles and PC's and say stuff the politics..... LETS PLAY.
What we need is games that are more operating system independant... ie linux and windows distributions so that we can say goodbye MS. |

ps3 and wii both come with wifi connections out of the box, with 360 its an extra.
also, ps3's can run yellow dog linux. |

I don't like Wii's much, I see them as more of a family/friends gathering entertainment item rather than something you can play for hours on your own.
I don't own a PS3 or a 360, but for some reason I would prefer a PS3 (probably for GT5) |

I was going to give you a long piece of unorganised spiel about owning both and slightly preferring the 360 at the moment, but thought it wouldn't really say anything meaningful. The PS3 has the potential but its XMB interface needs some of the 360's dashboard features. Both are good, both are expensive. There's not much difference between them really, games look almost exactly the same regardless of your choice of hardware.
