Guys, just been playing online on Mad Laps and I'm constantly getting lag and subsequently Invalid Race Time messages - happened three tracks in a row (Moldo can vouch for it!) so I got so pee'd off with it that I decided I'd ask on here if there is anything I can tweak with my system to improve things... |

yep
as mid said...
press ctrl alt delete, click the processes tab and see how much is running.... we'll start somewhere there.
invalid times are caused by a non responsive machine or network. |

I thought (but what do I know) when you lower your settings/graphics then the game takes up less cpu so you get less invalid times? _________________

it could moldo but if you have 70 processes running on windows XP then cutting them down is a better way to fix it.
ie how many icons are in the bottom right? 3 or 4 is great.... 10+ is just stupid. |
