It was not an easy choice but we have to move forward. The winner for stage one is…… drum roll please.
Bunsenjetson !!
He made great use of the pieces that where already in place.
He was thinking ahead by building track that can be used during a moving lap.
He also left the track builders open to a lot of options, as far as where the track can go from where he left off.
Bunsen you can not submit again since you won this stage, the rest of you can start on stage 2.
Here is a link to the track, download and start the next stage.

Please email your tracks by Saturday, Sept 8th
Email your tracks to mad-laps@hotmail.com
Mad-Laps Community Track I
OK boys and girls (I’m looking in CJ’s direction), this is going to be the first TMN community track so bring out you’re “A†game.
Here is how this is going to work.
Download the start of the track from TMX, the link is below.
You cannot make changes to any pieces that are already on the track.
Add about 15 seconds to the track.
You can add anything you like but please keep these things in mind...
This is a lap track so at some point we have to make our way back to the start/finish line.
We want to keep this around 2500 coopers, so don’t be a copper hog!
You will have until tomorrow midnight (GMT) to add this first section.
Email your tracks to mad-laps@hotmail.com
A winner will be picked, then the track will be uploaded again to have another 15 seconds added.
There will be 4 sections added.
Once complete there may be a few touch ups done to the track…
An intro added.
The names of each person will be added to their section of track.
And maybe some signage & time gates will have to be added but the base track will not be changed.
So what are you waiting for… download the start and get STARTED!!!!!!

I've just had a go. And can the last bit be quite slow you they arent launched off the map on the jump But my start i full speed if you take the perfect line, (i managed it three times) but most people will lift.
And do we add scenery, or do that all the end? I just put some in.
And are we going to put the challenge server up to vote them, or will they all be put on tmx so people can vote, or will someone choose what they think is the best one? |

Both theses are good starts, can't wait to see what else comes in.
Steve I thought it was a little weird to have that split in the track. Would have been just as good to have the turn with out the track going the other way. Don’t want to waste coppers or track space but again I do like the track itself. We’ll just have to wait and see what else gets posted.
As the instruction say you can add anything you want, so scenery is fine, just don’t be a copper hog.
The judging will be done in house by those who do not submit a section.
If you win, you cannot submit another section of track. |

I've just sent my attempt in It's about 15 secs long, and is all technical twisty/cambered. I haven't put any scenery in as I'm not that good with scenery, and I didn't want to limit where others could build or their coppers (assuming my section wins of course ).
I look forward to seeing the results of this track |

I put the bit going left because it was orginally going to go that way, but the turning was to tight, so i changed it to left and didnt delete it. You can dlete it if you want.
And can we see everyone else's sections once the judging is finished? |

That'd be useful actually, it might give us some ideas for later sections |

Please make sure to add scenery to your section of track. We will not be adding scenery once the track is complete. We may add some signage and check-points. Check-points maybe needed because a short cut comes up after a new section is added. Signage maybe needed for turns, hazards and to advertise Mad-Laps. For later sections you can use parts of the track and scenery that are already in place. So please make sure to have some scenery in your submissions. But as I said, don’t go over-board and use up all 2500 coopers in the first section
I don’t think you will be able to see the other entries. I can’t post these tracks to TMX because they are not validated. That is why we ask you to email your entries. Also, you may want to try something you have already submitted and not want to show that to everyone. From what I’ve seen so far the winner for each section is going to be hard to pick and it won’t be because the other sections are bad it’s just going to be how each section works with the rest of the track that will determine a winner. |

Thanks, MMMBat!
And good luck with the other sections, everyone. I'm looking forward to racing it and using my carefully concealed shortcut to gain a 0.1 sec advantage every single lap |

We are going to push out the deadline to submit stage two a bit. We have not had too many come in so we want to give everyone more time to work on the track. You now have until Saturday evening to email your track. So what are you waiting for… get to it. |

I think Bat had 3 submissions for the 3rd section, but was torn between all of them, and their merits and fault's.
My thoughts right now would be, ..........and if Bat is willing, for him to put a final section on all three submissions, and let the public decide after the G.P. at weekend............. ?, this is just my opinion, and would be a fair bit of work, that he maybe would rather not do............, it's not really something we have done before, and leaving him in soul charge may have " warped his tiny mind "
Will update as soon as possible _________________
