|
|
Since the banner ads and PayPal donation buttons showed up on the site I thought it would be be an interesting idea to use a site such as http://www.cafepress.com to sell "Mad Online Gaming" merchandise.. Without doing much research, I understand that a portion of the proceeds could go to raising money - which in this case would help defray the costs of running this gaming empire.
All that would need to be done is to come up with a few designs - possibly using "MadLaps" or "Mad Online Gaming" banners already made, or create new ones.
Judging from the number of regulars on the server, doing something like this might be a lot of fun and would support something we love at the same time.
Is there any interest in setting something up? |

Could be nice indeed, but it needs someone to spend time on it and for Madman, a commercial activity of that kind could be not possible to handle with all the things he already has to do... but i don't speak for him here.
btw, if you need a graphical designer... T-shirt are fun to do |

Whilst I agree it's interesting, would people really buy one and what price would people be prepared to pay for them... incl postage.
If enough people post up here we'll do it
Tshirts could accomodate the wider TM audience too.....not just mad laps. |

Actually, the price of a T-shirt depend of the number of piece you ask to print.
For example, if 10 T-shirt cost 20$ (it's only an example, this is not so cheap in fact) which means 2$ per T-shirt, 100 T-shirt could be for 100$, which means 1$ per T-shirt. That makes a difference...
Dont forget that we can't mention any of copyrighted Trademark as Trackmania, Nadeo, Nations, and so on... |

There's really no risk in starting something like this, provided the design isn't copyrighted by another company.

Would I buy one? It depends on the design. Preferably <£10. _________________

I donate anyway doesn't bother me so much having a t-shirt for doing it.
My clan =Vu= did it but it became a hassle because people got them made then claimed they couldn't pay for them and the guy who organised it ended up having to pay for most of the run himself.
If you go for it cash up front gents. _________________
