As rounds is not really doing anything, I thought I'd try a little experiment 
Mad Laps Mini...
more of the mini tracks format but only 5 laps.
10 tracks in the rotation, these will get adjusted slightly each week. This gives people a chance to learn the tracks, like they never get to on the main server.
It should give some very close racing and a better environment for people to learn and showcase their skills....... lets see!
And when you get bored of ten tracks their is always the main server to muck around on! |

yep good idea as i cant see the point in a server being empty all the time
i was also thinking of ideas what to do with the other server also
wot about an open invite to general for a mid week mini gp like we used to do for fun
just one race for say 20 mins and the winner is the person who completes the most laps
just a thought |

| I think your justification for the small number of tracks is spot on. It is daunting when you're new to the game to see people haring away into the distance, and a good part of that is knowledge of the tracks rather than pure skill (or forgetting to press forward). I enjoyed the format last night, and much though I enjoy rounds, it clearly hasn't been working. Let's see how it goes! |

| yep, it doesnt mean the round server is dead, but this is running for now. and yes it was fun. it's also a chance for regulars to get to know tracks better and try and get records.... |

I'm not sure if you mean you'll adjust the actual tracks..or if you mean you will change the tracks which are on (don't think my explanation explains it any better  )
Anyway, perhaps it would be possible to put the 3 tracks on which are voted for for GP's?
I like the idea about the server though, and was definately fun |

Was racing on it last night, only 4 of us mind but made for quite tight close racing and the 5 laps was a great idea on laps that short.

Can we? Huh? Can we plaease? C'mon.
Seroiusly, the format is from before my time, but I would so be there. Consider me signed up (should such a thing become germane).
Should also mention that I love the mini-tracks and will demonstrate said love by using them.

Mad must be some kind of genius. How did he know that the rounds server was not getting enough attention? We'll never know.
But anyways, it is a good idea. Will it be a server somewhat close to all the french lap servers (which all look the same btw)? Or will it have a few twists? I HATEthose french servers. WORSTracing on TMN.

In defense of the French servers, I found them great servers to get my feet wet (on a track I could finish in time). But they do get stale. I reccomend them to noobs starting out.

Well....I don't always finnish in time on the french server to be honest, and I consider me slightly better than when I was new (just slightly, I still fail at the game )
Anyway, French servers are ok, though I like MadLaps/Z-rounds better. |
