I am hoping to introduce some changes to this site to make it more... erm unique and interesting.

It's currently a bog standard forum and 1 other page. Everybody else puts us to shame so it's time we sorted it.

Some redesigns, live info etc will slowly be added with the new server controller information as it is developed....

NO I HAVENT STARTED IT YET Smile

What I really want to create is some more buzz without lots of useless content... All ideas welcome and of course anyone with skills could be useful cus I've been all out of time this month. It doesn't have to be TM focused......

Also I was thinking of ideas for browser games..... Travian, footy managers etc. Would like to develop our own. could be anything..... not looking to reinvent the wheel or copy someone else but am looking for a genuine idea that would make a great browser game.

I'd be in for helping on our own browsergame Very Happy .

As to a few more additions to the website:
-Small 'articles' explaining how to make proper tracks and cars and all. First start with basics like how to change camera angles and later on talk about more advanced stuff (the utter-maddness tracks for example Razz).
To some of you this may sound really easy, but I wouldn't know how to change the angle.
Another thing which could be added is what exactly makes a track a mad track (worthy of being on the server).

medi their is a brief tutorial at the top of the tracks section but no detailed picture ones etc as seen elsewhere. They are time consuming to produce and my english is awful Smile

To suite the server look at the existing selection or any GOOD laps server. I like the minitracks server in france. great, uncomplicated tracks that are fun to race. though the 10 laps is too many and if they were all that style is would not be so interesting.

To make a great track... find a track that you always enjoy racing and create your own version.. I don't mean the same corners I mean copy the style, the speed, the hazard levels etc and the rewards. Its all rythm and Flow which are two unmeasurable attributes that tracks must have to be good. I might do an utter madness 4 tutorial for those who want the details if I get time.

Seeming as we are all here because of trackmania. How about a decent Grand prix manager thing? With feeder series. You can't find a good one on the net, all the ones I have visited are complete codswallop.

Are they really that bad?

I don;t imagine it would be that hard for a group with our in depth knowledge of all things on wheels.

I once had a 2 minute look at bat racer and have never understood the fascination myself Smile

How about sections for PS3 and XBOX 360 discussion? Login names for online, games etc. as there's a fair amount of console gaming going on here too.

or we could make a section called "Consoles and Video Gaming"
and make a sticky called "Tags"
e.g.
Xbox Live
HotSWAT - HotSWAT
