I personally find Time Attack mode boring as hell most of the time, but this idea I've just had is inspired. It seems to me that there's a lot of bragging going on here whenever somebody takes a record. This is inevitably followed by a multitude of comments from slowbies like myself who probably wouldn't even dent the current best time. If you're about to become one of these people (and we've all been there), I'd like to say this; prove it, sucker.

Has anybody heard of the UK time attack series? The idea is that a load of UK tuning companies take to the country's tracks to prove that they make the best modified motors in the land. There are two classes, one for amateurs, the other for teams. I'm thinking that we perhaps ought to put a ML twist on this and run several 15 minute sessions on two tracks in an evening from time to time. The current favourites for bragging rights are Office park and Thunder Looper Short, so they'd make a good starting point.

Should this happen, Green Missile Racing tell me that their 2008 model is ready for testing and I'm going in the driver's seat.

Dont get it.

Your saying a few times a week, we switch the server to time attack with two tracks, the most popular of that week, and the one who holds the record at the end of each session gets....

Nope, just once a fortnight, for about half an hour. What do you get? Bragging rights, that's what the front runners seem to want on here.

Don't really see the point honestly, but I guess you'll say a point isn't really needed here Razz

Though if I happen to be on I'd be happy to stop by, but it's not something I would make time for really, not like the grand prix Smile

Some of the tracks are on tmx, so you can upload replays to that.

And on that topic, i havent noticed any change in the records on the tmx page of Office Park. Smile

Also, could you upload Yellow to tmx please mad, so we can upload replays.

A very valid point-TMX reduces the need for this kind of thing. Plus the more I think about it, the less I think it's a good idea.

Well said Cheese.. I didn't get the whole thing either
I mean.. ..if you got a record, then you got it. Who cares? If it's on MAD Server or on TMX, who cares?
Important is, who wins the race. One fast lap won't help you there..

One fast lap against three fast laps from yourself Insane is never a good recipe for a win. Smile
