Love that top corner if you catch it right, as demostrated by Penske Dan Wink , it kicks your wheel up at the top, and jerks the car perfectly into line for full speed into the upcoming left hand turn Wink , nice if you hit it correctly that is Smile

Nice screen Moldo Cool

Heh steve, I remember deliberately backing off a little so we wouldn't be racing directly against each other.

Hoped it would mean we'd crash less Rolling Eyes

I kind of guessed you were waiting for me to make a mistake, or a clear overtaking oppurtunity. I was amazed to find myself still in the lead at about lap 15. You and moldo were so much faster, but you would catch up, stay about .5 of a second back, then overtake me on the 3rd corner (because i couldnt work out how to take it fast) then crash, so i would get the lead back again.

Wasn't there an idea floating around about having different coloured helmets/mirrors/wings? We'd know who we were then without having names above.

The names do my head in. At the start its bad enough with 20+ cars, then with 20+ names on top of that, i dont know how you can see.

And in the vid, cam 2 Shocked Shocked and names Shocked Shocked But nice vid Laughing

Maybe different colour details.dds. You wouldnt be able to see the helmet from behind, but you would see the bars that cheese painted with some fibre glass.

Also, i think trackmania original is about £5 and it can be used to authenticate your account, so go get it. Shoo. It would look so much better with proper team cars showing, not some random country Very Happy

I bought TM Power Up! (version of TM before TMO) off an Amazon seller for about £2.50. Very Happy

Different detail files is a damn fine idea Steve. It means more hosting on here, but it'd mean I needn't dive for the key above tab at the start of a GP.

Fibreglass? It was a bit expensive to be fibreglass. Wink

In Penske, i get the light blue details Laughing

Cheese, could you authenticate your account with TM Power Up??

Idea - if anyone has a surplus of TM CD-Keys, could they be permanently borrowed by others without CD-Keys so they could show their skins??

Bit difficult to borrow an authentification code as it's one code per account. In theory it's a good idea Steve but if you happen to lose an account somehow it's always a good idea to keep a spare code.

No problems authentificating with TMPU either. I'll have a look on Amazon, see if the seller's still got some.

5 minutes later...

Nope, they've gone. I bought about 5 copies with my mates so they could authenticate and show their skins. They were brand new copies for about 50p + £2 postage.

The versions of TM before the Original update are now about £5 like you said Steve. United's now about £10, I suggest people get that as it'll be possible to get your Nations action on there soon and it'll possibly be a smaller download for TMF than on Nations. And yes authentification does work with United game codes as well, I'm sure I've heard of people doing it.
