yesterday i built a track, you may need to load it up to maybe understand the issue (if it happens to you that is)

basically i built it so at the start you end up holding the up button for about the first 15 seconds...but my friends car behaves differently to mine dispite both pessing the up arrow.

start > long straight small jump, land on the end of a booster, go up a vertical ramp style thing with front wheels not touching back wheel, whent tyres hiw the top bendy bit is where the difference happens

my car jolts to the side sending me upside down to the wall and i end up flipping nicely

my friends car seems to go straight down the middle...and sometimes self rights by chance.

if you want me to upload the track file somewhere so u can semi feel the picture, il do that.

my friend sometimes find certain tracks near impossible, this was one of em, is his keyboard deformed/odd Razz

check Keyboard settings in Control Panel, adjust for lowest latency and fastest repeating.

I seem to remember hearing a while ago about an issue that affected the physics sometimes. If you alt tab out of the game then come back into it, it apparently fixes the prob. Not sure how true that is, just remember reading it somewhere Razz

when your playing it are you in the editor or the game?

sometimes the editor is not exactly like running on a server or solo Sad

also email it to me... then we can rule out controller keyboard issues.

did it by turning slightly left.

if you have a controller increase your dead zone and try again.

I use ALT and Enter twice. First one puts it into windowed view, second reverts to full screen. It works for me and does indeed reset the physics. What you should be hoping is that it's your friend's PC that needs the reset and not yours.

By the way, this phenomenon is known a "press forward" (PF). Some ingenious and very patient track builders have made 5-minute PF tracks where the car does amazing things and always ends up in precisely the right position for the next bit. Good ones have brilliant timing and humour and are simply stunning. Go to http://www.nations.tm-exchange.com and search for "PF" then look for ones with lots of cups. They are cooooool.

I agree that PF tracks are cool, but I've played a few and they just don't hold my interest. Besides, the United physics will completely screw most of them when we get Forever.

Best PF tracks: 'Billy Badluck' and 'Tensai Racer'

So alt+enter twice, basically gets the view back to as it started, but it resets physics = what?
