i had it pre ordered, after hearing dedi server removal, cancelled pre order
alot of my xire contact seem to have got it i think the lagggyness is common but they do dsay when its not laggy its good.
but i keep looking at videos and think the no lean would bug me royally. also the guns all look over powered and all look like they perfom same. maps that ive seen loook rather small
theres a mod on cod4, cant recall what its called, but was created few year ago, the modders believe the devs have taken alot of that mod and made it into mw2, the modders werent given any credit though
have read that one of the official IW videos had been pulled, possibly relating to a copyright claim?
this pc vs xbox/activision/IW break down doesnt seem to be going pretty
im still on the stance of not bothering with it _________________

i'll be playing tonight when i finish work, my activation key comes at 1 minute past midnight
i pre-ordered it off xfire but apparently its from metaboli
waited till lauch day to play the 360 disc i'd bought a week earlier only to find it didn't work, wasn't looking forward to using my pad instead of mouse/keyboard anyway, honest
i hope the multiplayer runs better than Operation Flashpoint |

Its worth playing, looks great, plays well except for occaisonal lag on multi
will need to rank up to try all weapons but most seem good so far, peer to peer spoils a lot of the fun to be had on cod4,overall pretty good but could have been a lot better. _________________

Bad Points
Can`t choose server, always on automatch (unless use buddie list), private servers are unranked.
Can`t play hardcore until level 37
2 types of hardcore, about 12 types of softcore
Lag, LAG, LAGGGGGGG, definate advantage for "host"
If "host" leaves session, all game pauses until a new session is found, up to 30 seconds wait, depending on "host", then all i`ve had is `Disconnect from host" or "could not migrate host".
STEAM (defectictive, intrusive software IMO)
No chat on "intermission screen" for up to 2 mins (host again), woooo stare at boring screen!!!
Edit---Was in a server with sosteve and Mad playing domination, "host migration failed", then i ended up in a different game and type (i.e TDM), Sosteve couldn`t connect, and Mad was also in different game/type. _________________ Never underestimate the power of stupidity.

Got it on 360 today. Pretty, chaotic, full of very good people who have clearly got too much free time. I suspect that until I start getting some nice scopes on my weapons it'll be deathstreaks galore for me. Good fun regardless. I haven't noticed lag particularly, either I've been too busy dying or the 360 version works better than the PC version going by what's already been said here.
The new maps don't seem quite as good as old favourites such as Crossfire, Crash and Showdown but I'll give them some time. _________________

I know the connection issues will be the same as the original on the xbox because of the system in place on the xbox. But are the game options any different?? can you choose a server?? Are there servers? _________________ Never underestimate the power of stupidity. |

Nah, the 360 version uses P2P as well. It's all matchmaking, but you can create in-game parties for certain online play modes. Most games are like that on consoles, Warhawk on PS3 is the only console game with dedicated servers I can think of. _________________

Was playing the single player campaign over the weekend. I loved COD4 and the single player on it, this wasn't a massive departure from that but the storyline is pretty good and some of the levels are cracking.
I'll need to play it online to see if I have the same issues as Dan, but I get destroyed on shooters online anyway so I probably won't be able to move around enough to notice lag _________________

online works ok for me, i've had the occasional laggy moment but not often. an altogether better game than the original Modern Wafare
current most used custom profile is
primary weapon: Scar-H with heart-beat sensor and grenade launcher
secondary weapon: AA-12 shotgun
perks: bling pro, hardline pro and commando
death streak: martyrdom
still get owned by the average player though |
