Ok, simple thread this - whats of your list for xmas.
Me a two of my kids are chipping in to get a PS3 and stuff. I like the games but want to make the most of my telly so the blu ray swung it for me as i cannot see a blu ray for under £200 anywhere. I haven't bought it yet hoping for the price to go down or some better deals. Did consider a xbox 360 but mr microsoft is too rich already................
Apart form that someone is getting a big scalextrix so the lounge floor will be busy over the hol's. |

supernanny please santa
if your getting the ps3 for movies i'd get a remote control too, its a pain using the pad (even though they're wireless) i had my ps3 for about 2 months and never really played it, i hate spending £40-£50 for a game _________________

I'm getting a PS3 for Christmas too. I've been looking around and the best bundles I can find are on Play.com, 2 games, 1 blu-ray and a blu-ray remote for 299!! I'm gonna wait to see if this VAT drop will affect the prices next week. |

I'm pretty much out of stuff to want for Christmas because these days if there's something I want and I've got enough money, I buy it...
To anyone who's getting a PS3, get MotorStorm Pacific Rift and fit every controller you buy with Gioteck RealTriggers. Go through the festival until the bit where it gets really, really hard, then add RFSDaCheese to your friends list and let battle commence. Personally these days I'd go for a 360 though... _________________

i'd rather have a modded 360 than a PS3 if it were just for the games, my nephews got a ixtreme 360 and i got him some new games last week, GOW2, Fallout 3, C+C Red Alert 3, Saints Row 2, Fifa 09, Midnight Club LA and Call of Duty World at War, (please note i DO NOT sell copied games)
i hate how high street chains, especially GAME, treat customers when they return games, i was in GAME last week buying Grid and the guy next to me was trying to exchange his 360 game that he had bought the day before (his excuse was it was the wrong game) receipt and all, to be told "if its been opened i can only offer you £25 on a trade in"
i'd wait nearer christmas and try toysrus, not the obvious choice but when i got my PS3 it was £305 with GTA, (Game were selling the pack for £340)and they will sometimes give you a credit note for the games you don't want so at least you pick which games you want _________________

I'm getting a lay-z-boy recliner, and a small TV for the bedroom so I can watch the footy when the missus and her harpy mates are round watching whatever "I used to be a celebrity but my career went down the crapper so I'm eating Kangaroo tadger to get public sympathy so get me out of here" type show is on. _________________

Will prices go down due to the vat change? NO, will it cost businesses up and down the land a fortune... yes, as they pay for new stationary, website fixes, software tweeks and accountancy discrepencies and extra work. Over the longer period, it may even force prices up, as wholesalers and shop keepers use it to confuse and adjust prices upward. Like decimalisation. rant over. disagree, the niftier vendors have already cut 2 1/2%. When it goes back up the same vendors will absorb the rise. And in which base is 17 1/2% easier to calculate than 15? _________________
