Other folks have already been told they can't replace no shows so would be a bit rum if you got to do it Stevie.
Up to Mid and Mad though, ask nicely see what they say. _________________

Mad's team, let him decide.
Maybe we should change the signup system somehow because there was a lot of enthusiasm at the end of Season 4 for Season 5. Loads of peeps wanted places, not all got them, and since then there's been a fair few team members who've had to drop out. Perhaps team lineups should only be finalised closer to the start of a season for example (guilty; GMR and MV chassis were in testing, names and all, before Christmas). That's not meant to be a verbal attack on anyone, just my opinion from a fairness point of view.
Substitutions; how about if a driver who wants/needs out has raced a GP, they can't be replaced (otherwise you end up with a different third driver each week like in season 3), but repeat no-showers can be swapped? That's what happened with Slotus. _________________

Could say that once you have given up your seat you can't get it back...that would stop people making light hearted decisions and also prevent drivers 'covering' for others if they cant make the occasional race.
Then also say that one member change is allowed per team in a season and after that they have to have an empty seat...thus would give some, but not total, leeway in replacing a driver who then decides they cant make the gp's (as happened in Slotus and looks to have again here). |

agree DC's point re: early signups, early everything in fact. Should have stepped on all that but wanted to give free rein to the enthusiasm shown.
Since it seems up to Mad/me and we had discourse on this last night then we will continue with no subs this season, as decreed after season 3's free-for-all mess. Next time around we will probably make an allowance, such as the suggestion we permit one per season per team. _________________

One night absence for Jonny and myself tomorrow as it's a good friend's 18th birthday do. It's not the day I'd have chosen but the same thing happened on the last pair of Season 4 races; we were only able to race those because that time the friend in question didn't mind reorganising his night out, but I'm a bit wiser now and on hindsight definitely shouldn't have asked it of him. I love GP events and take them perhaps a bit more seriously than I should, but a once in a lifetime event's going to have to come first this time. Sorry about that Mid and everyone else, hope you understand . _________________
