Can we ban excessively big mods please? I mean school buses, Scooby Doo mystery machines and anything else BIG! They completely block your view and effectively punish you for being just ahead of them. Sure, they are pretty and often amusing, and I don't mind normal sized mods, but they are selfish, greedy and evil imho |

...You're talking about mods or vehicles ? i'm lost...
By the way, i don't think we can do what you're asking if it is about vehicles...
"ban" sounds RFR for me... and i don't want people to see us as RFR management.
If you can't see what's in front of you because of a too big car, press "o" (like Oscar or Oh my god)...
Anyway Bunsen... not many people can stay ahead of you for long in a race, only a few ones and they ususally race in small'n'fast cars. |

hahah!
#Yes, sorry - I meant skins on vehicles that look physically large, not track mods. I thought they were all called mods ... shows how much I know.
I meant ban the skins, not the players. I'm sure most people would choose a friendlier skin if they knew they were interrupting others.
Although I don't see why some of us should have to switch opponents off just because someone chooses to hide the track from everyone else with their 22-wheel juggernaut. Don't forget it doesn't actually affect the culprit, so they'll still get the full gaming experience anyway. I like to see who I'm racing!
If no one else agrees with me of course, I'll shut up. I'm just seeking opinions. That's what forums are for |

What i wanted to say (but i didn't said it axactly like it so excuse me lol) was "press o for the 15first seconds of the race and then you can be sure the large vehicle is gonna be far away behind you"
Otherwise, i don't think it's technically possible to prevent people to use big 3D models... It's possible to set the server up to not show personal skins, but i prefer see one noob hiding the road with his "22-wheel juggernaut" (lol) for a few metters than racing against 30 gray/sad stadiumcars ...
Edit: maybe if we simply ask this guy to change his car... |

I have noticed a yellow school bus and a mystery machine the last couple of days, but they only affect mostly at the start. I usually see the yellow school bus parked sideways in the middle of the road on laps 2 and 3, and the owner (you know who you are) chatting away.
I don't mind custom skins, I noticed bunsen was sporting a white honda civic which didn't block any view. i think people who drive tanks and 18 wheelers are people who are bored and dont really care about the race. |

I have to admit I tend to kick people for the larger skins and thats not mad laps policy.
I would tend to agree if it is too big then it blocks your view and yes I mean the Mystery Machine and the Big Yellow Bus. However, we don't want to become a bunch of killjoys either so we can always turn them off although for me that takes a bit of excitement out of the game. _________________

aw, can't we be killjoys? Killjoys are coooool.
Sorry, I was thinking about Kilroy.
Yeah! skins are lovely - I have nothing against them whatsoever. If someone told me my little Honda Civic was blocking their view I'd revert to my TM stadium death taxi, my Spitfire livery RAF racing fighter or my McLaren F1 corner cutter. Anything that fits within the rough dimensions of a standard TM car is fine, even a little bigger. But some of them are taking the piss. And they know it. And they know that I know it. And they know that I know that they know that I know it. And they would have gotten away with it if it hadn't been for this pesky complaining man with a school-bus-sized chip on his shoulder. |

Tell you what Bunsen since it's you, if someone has a skin you don't like tip me off with a code so nobody else knows why the person is getting kicked.
How's about
"Hey Spanky that bus is rather LARGE isn't it"
"It does seem that way Mr Jetson"
Bang they get kicked everyone is happy except Otto the bus driver.
What you reckon? _________________

I like that idea. Following a polite request to downgrade to a Mondeo or other vehicle used for picking up kids. |

So if I say politely "hey selfish numpty how's about changing your skin to something a little smaller, preferably no bigger than a Ford Mondeo but at a push a Suzuki Vitara"
Gentlemen I think we have a compromise.
I'm good _________________

That said, we can set another key than "o" for that... since it's not so close from the arrows or the left shift that many people are using to brake.
I've already replaced the * by "Ctrl"
The Q key would fit well for me |
