Hey folks,
I'll be disappearing for a week or so just for a little rest from racing and to play other games.
Also, I'll hopefully be able to upgrade the missus' computer somewhat so she can play some TM at the same time as me. If not, we're stuck having to share the same comp, which I don't mind that much as long as we've got separate accounts and she ain't ruining my stats. 
I've changed my profile in-game so she has her own car (her choice and you'll be sick when you see it) and her own nickname (运动ºBlackEyedAngel - same tag as me if you can't see it on the forum).
I've told her to only join Mad Laps Pro as I assured her you are all perfect ladies and gentlemen. 
Anyway, say hello to her if you see her and I'll be back soon.  |

Guys, I'm a fair bit pissed off tonight and I feel I need to stick up for my girl here.
I was a bit disappointed tonight watching Mrs. G. being harassed (by some MAD regulars I may add) for coming first in a race and then people saying that I was racing on her account. I know obviously I can't prove otherwise since we live together, but that's something people need to accept!
I got her her own account for a reason, so she had her own stats, LPs and so she can make her own friends. I'm not exactly able to piss away £25 for things such as a second account for myself you know.
She's an ex-Nations/Sunrise player so she does have a lot of familiarity with the game engine/physics so I'd appreciate people giving her the same sort of treatment as I get. Just put the fact she is female to the side for once, rather than reacting negatively when she drives well. 
She was a bit peeved off when she quit tonight, please be nice folks. |

if she was bad all the time and then good for 3 races i'd be thinking it was you driving a few for her but i've yet to see her do a bad race
most of the time she's up there with the best!
what are people going to say when its a 1st blackeyedangel, 2nd grndl?

The fact that she's female had nothing to do with it, it's just the fact that "two" people, both of rather similar racing abilities, racing on the same internet connection (presumably), were changing between accounts every so often.
Surely you can see that this would arouse just the slightest bit of suspicion?

I understand what you mean, but you'll just have to trust us on the fact we don't play on each others accounts (other than the time she was playing on my account while we waited for CDkey #2).
We don't designate chunks of the evening to times when we play TM, so the fact we're changing around every so often isn't something to get suspicious about. For example, if she wants to play, I ain't gonna stop her (unless by some miracle in able to horse StevieM all the time one night ). I can go keep myself occupied doing other things and when she wants to go do something else, I'll step in if I fancy it.
The female thing I based on what the missus feels in general about playing the game. She got the impression she was picked on last night because "guys hate being beaten by girls, especially in a racing game".
I never really thought about the racing ability being a problem until last night I realised it looks a bit "dodgy". She came from playing TMN/TMS for many months and I started playing TM when TMNF came out. I thought the fact we're close in terms of skill to be pretty awesome considering our history of how we came to the game, but I guess that's not everyone's opinion, especially if we're in the same house, using the same connection, using the same computer.
Just please take it from us, we're not playing on each others account as we have no reason to. I have no reason to "boost" her account or whatever as she is skilled enough to do that herself.
Anyway, I hope this clears things up. |

Nah, not at all. Every raced against Hermes Girl? She wipes the floor with alot of people, but in the end its a race between people, if she beats me/other people then well played, just like anybody else if they beat other racers. |

Yeah remember the Bosch accounts, same punter at least 8 different names and denying it everytime he was sussed out.
You can forgive people for being suspicious it's happened with a couple of regulars who get something out of the points jerk off so set up new accounts when they plateau in the rankings on their existing accounts.
Anyway if you're quick why would you bother to pretend to be someone else seems a bit sad to me.
