8.00pm UK time 2 races 25 laps etc etc etc

No points tonight but just a test to see what it handles.

Thanks Mad, that was a good test, I know you got a lot out of that so thanks to the others who found us in time, too Smile
connection probs here and I missed the first with chronic lag. I just emptied my caches so perhaps I'm all tied up filling them again.
Second race a little better connection-wise. This was pretty much unrecognisable from an old Nations GP: the track was much funkier and crashable and the dynamics of the Forever vehicle seem to forgive a good deal of 'instability'. Respawning from the last CP makes the possibility of more challenging tracks like this. There always seemed to be someone else on the track near me because of the respawn effect. The only drawback is it keeps prawns like me in the game. Finished 4th Very Happy

thoroughly enjoyed it Smile won one.

I need to make adjustments to the server controller as the vital messages effecting game mode and player numbers are not working at the moment with forever.

The new server controller is also vital with the machine switch to linux so hey here goes Smile

Very funny races

I came in late, expecting the first race to be finished already, but you guys had only just started, so I just joined in, 20 cp's later or something. Started with +2.52 and (nearly) ended with +2.58 Razz

Second race was exciting Smile got first when mad had to respawn, then lost the lead when I had to respawn. Then nearly came back when I saw mad driving very slowly right after the hump, but I had to mess it up, ended on my roof, and in the excitement I forgot to respawn but retired Laughing so gg mad ^^

Found the one race I did do constantly laggy (small hiccups every 5-10 secs). Since it was a relatively simple track and I was driving conservatively I didn't crash once, however it really wasn't easy to stay on.

Having the sectors on the right didn't help me that much, I found they lagged a bit and sometimes I'd only be 1-2 secs ahead having completed the same # of sectors. Being a lot smaller than the ones in TMN I also found them hard to read when also trying to race.

Does that quiet alot for me too, but I tend to race with opponents turned off and sectors off too, as they distract me. I'm driving along with it displaying me 1/25 then about 5 secs late I'm 2nd with Steve over a second ahead, which he has been since the begginning.

I know I should just turn opponents on but it causes lag, so I find it easier just to turn them off and find out where you came after the race has finished, rather than being distracted by the guy (usually Steve) pulling away in front.

Hehe... Laughing

Everyones else cars in tmnf lag alot for me, and they never used to in nations. They jump all over the place, and its really distracting.

Although, O completely turns other cars off, which could be useful at the start of the GP's. Very Happy
