I've noticed that sometimes if the intro is quite long, when it ends everyone has already started or if you're lucky it just starts without a 3-2-1.

yep i also get that too, wasn't sure if it was because of all the downloads today and that if i had not previously played that particular tack before.....if that makes sense...??? Confused

but i just adds to the challenge of starting at the back of the grid.......just like real life racing for tyke then... Embarassed

Its done it a couple of times for me. The first time the race had already started by the time the track loaded but I ended up having a red timer and an invalid time, and once without an invalid timer.

The game is very buggy for me, hopefully updates will be released soonish

Maybe we could keep a maximum of 2000 coppers per track instead of 2500.
It happens to me also sometimes. Not on a particulary track, but it's random... and fortunately not too much often...

ML classic is fine on most tracks, but on the server full of dirt, sheds and wide sections nothing loads in time. Incredibly frustrating.

anyone with Vista could try inserting a memory stick in a spare USB. Go to Computer and allow Windows to use it as a Drive (if it's a fast enough responding unit). Maybe it will cache Trackmania files in use - well I would if i was a transfer bus controller routine. Which i'm not obviously.

are these problems with enforced late-starting due to inadequate hardware, slow connections, long intros or a bit of them all?

I think the late starting is a graphics problem, happened to me tmice when loading really heavy track, happen`s to ginsters all time, by the time 1 time attack track had loaded there was 15 sec`s left on the clock, to me, thats a loading issue, his cpu is overclocked from 1 ghz to 2 ghz and he has a gig of ram, the gfx card is an old fx5500-256mg, i just think it can`t cope with the over heavy colours n shadings, night tracks will be the worst because the game is trying to shade shadow`s on the track, the crashing issue i don`t know about, i think thats a bug, happen`s on a lot of server`s so can`t pinpoint that one.
